The challenge: each class will try to convince an audience of peers, teachers, and community judges to vote for their book as Vic High's Book of the Year -- and to vote for their presentation (award include Grade 9 Choice, Students' Choice, and Judges' Choice).
A short, verbal synopsis of each book will tell the audience about its content; the presentation itself must show WHY the book should be Vic High's 2009 Book of the Year. Students must decide upon highlights/ideas they wish to emphasize - and upon the medium that they feel will best convey their content and represent the talents of their particular class.
In 2018, there were a variety of presentation mediums; below are a few examples. Other mediums beyond ones listed here are certainly possible. Who knows what students will dream up for Vic High Reads 2019?
